Insurance Internal Auditor/ Quality Controller
Balance Partners, LLC seeks an enthusiastic team player to join our expanding team. This individual will work closely with management, underwriting, and service teams to ensure proper protocols and controls are in place an being followed.
This is a full time, Monday-Friday opportunity with comprehensive benefit eligibility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop a full working knowledge of the current and future lines of business we underwrite/service including existing workflow and documentation protocols
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes, risks, and control activities, and identify opportunities for process improvements
Develop and execute risk-based audit plans, considering the organization's objectives, risks, and control environment
Conduct premium and operational audits, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, adherence to policies and procedures, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Document audit findings, prepare clear and concise reports, and communicate recommendations to management, highlighting areas for improvement
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and provide guidance to business units on remediation plans
Understand and incorporate elements of post-audit corrective actions into future planning and risk assessments
Maintain confidentiality
Consistently demonstrate a professional, positive, team-oriented attitude while performing job duties.
Pursue a program of personal and professional development

Excellent attention to detail and well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
High degree of professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skills, proven ability to influence cross-functional collaboration and interaction with various business leaders at all levels
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often on multiple projects simultaneously across different functional groups with minimal day-to-day guidance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Previous experience using the program IMS (Insurance Management System) preferred
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with data analytic and/or data extraction tools
Able to leverage technology to positively impact quality
Previous experience in a similar role required
