Nick joins Balance Partners from Brown & Brown-owned Florida Intracoastal Underwriters (FIU), where he served as the Head of Underwriting for the Florida-only high-valued condominium property focused MGA for 10 years. In addition to individual risk underwriting and managing the underwriting team, Nick was involved in all carrier and reinsurance relationships as well as the day-to-day management and overall strategy of the unit. Prior to joining FIU, Nick worked for several global reinsurance brokers, specializing mainly in ocean and inland marine. Nick has 20+ years of industry experience across these different roles, giving him a unique perspective and understanding of the entire insurance supply chain, from front line underwriting to global reinsurance markets.
Nick earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
